BELT CONVEYOR OVEN:
When designing the equipment, heating the product is sometimes only part of the equation. How you transfer the product through the oven is also very critical. Some oven systems require a specialized conveyor belt to ensure proper heating and precise product transfer. Extensive lab testing and application knowledge acquired by Fostoria engineers for over seven decades, have consistently provided customers with proven oven/conveyor solutions; and durable, long-lasting equipment.

This oven is designed to dry an adhesive on automotive interior foam components. Fostoria used IR and convection heat for this process. The conveyor belt was selected for ease of cleaning, and to minimize potential damage to the product. As you can see in the photographs, a radiometer is mounted at the exit of the oven for temperature readout. The conveyor system is also equipped with exit photo eyes, which signal the start of the next conveyor line.

This system is designed to allow the operator to load and unload the product from the same end. The oven is designed with infrared on top and bottom. Input blowers on the top and bottom heat banks assist in heating the part and curing the coating. The oven length is 136”, and was built with removable panels to allow access for maintenance of the equipment.
A Fostoria electric infrared drying oven with three zones of heat, stainless steel reflectors and slider bed. The conveyor is approximately 43 feet OAL, and the belt is 60” wide. At two locations, additional rollers have been added to create a waterfall effect, which will allow the product to be rotated. The conveyor indexes the product through the oven. The system utilizes a PLC control panel and an HMI

These oven systems are designed to preheat steel housings that need to be expanded to allow an interior part to be inserted. This is an index cycle system. When the part is loaded onto the entrance of the conveyor, the oven door raises and allows the parts to move into the oven chamber. As you can see, the parts are painted with a black coating, which is ideal for infrared applications
