FOSTORIA HIGH VELOCITY OVENS:
The principle behind Fostoria Hi-Velocity ovens is to impinge high velocity heated air against the finish or material, through a series of slot nozzles at velocities of up to 13,500 ft/minute. The high velocity air continuously removes the stagnant boundary layer of air surrounding the finish and replaces it with freshly heated air to dry the finish. Or – in thermoforming applications with thick and “fluffy” materials (such as non-wovens), the penetrating capability of high velocity air will in most cases produce the fastest possible heat cycles.
Energy Efficiency: Unlike conventional convection dryers which require heating an entire chamber, the heat in a Fostoria high velocity oven is directly impinged onto the finish or material, reducing the amount of heat required. The temperature outside the direct path of the nozzles is moderate. This will allow for greater throughput and faster line speeds versus conventional dryers for the same application.
